First Blogger Post - My 30th Birthday In Lockdown.
Good Morning my lovelies,
I hope you are all doing well, welcome to my blog. I have decided to switch over to Blogger from Wordpress and see how successful it is and compare the two, I adore writing and would love to reach more like minded blogs and people.
I would love it if you would give me a follow on my Instagram Page - KerrieJayne I have 8.2K followers over there and feature loads of brands which I work with on a regular basis including lifestyle, food & drink, beauty, fashion & self care. I am so passionate about what I do over on my Instagram page and would love to one day become a full time self employed content creator. I have been working really hard over the past 3 years to connect with people, brands and increasing my following with genuine like minded people.
I will stop rambling on about the boring stuff now, I turned 30 on Tuesday the 9th February and was supposed to be in Orlando (which we have now rearranged for a second time). I was initially really sad about the fact of spending such a milestone birthday in lockdown, of course I know pretty much all of us have had a lockdown birthday now which sucks, but being a planner I decided to get my thinking cap on before hand and try and make it as fun and relaxed as possible.
I contacted a local hot tub hire company based in Kirkby In Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, UK - Daykin's Hot Tub Hire who have been incredible I must say, we paid £210 for hire from Sunday-Sunday which included a gazebo too.
Let me just say, we have got completely lucky with the weather, it has been snowy and really sunny most days which has made it perfect hot tub weather, in fact once I have finished this post I think I am going to take a dip.
I was considering buying a hot tub myself and this has been a nice way to trial it out before hand which I would recommend anyone thinking of buying one does, it has completely put me off the idea purely due to the running costs, I know it is winter and will be using far more electricity to keep it warm right now but when I have really sat down and thought about it, wanting a puppy too, it just isn't realistic right now but thankfully I can use these guys whenever I fancy a week of bubbles. I don't think I have ever slept so well since having this though, it really does help.
My husband organised an afternoon tea for me, for my actual birthday which unfortunately I was far too excited about and didn't take a photo but It was amazing and if you are local definitely check out - Mrs Jones Pantry they also make gorgeous celebration cakes and treat boxes for every occasion.
I had a lot of friends and family come and deliver presents and have social distanced door step chats which was lovely and my best friend Darren is in mine and my husbands bubble so has been popping round too.
I received so many lovely Birthday gifts and messages, I honestly can't thank my friends and family enough for helping to make my day special.
I am going to enjoy the rest of my week off now and go for a dip, we have games and drinks planned with Darren tomorrow night too , which hopefully doesn't get too messy.
Have a great day guys, thanks so much for reading.
